Donald C. Klug, 91, of Syracuse, died on Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was a graduate of North High School and a veteran of WWII. Mr. Klug retired as a sergeant from the Syracuse Police Department. He was a member, past Deacon and Elder of the Reformed Church of Syracuse. He was a Silver Beaver award recipient with the Hiawatha Boy Scouts Council. Mr. Klug was predeceased by his wife, Doris and his son, Dennis.
He is survived by a son, Donald C. (Betsy) Klug Jr. of Watertown; four daughters, Deborah E. (David) Guilfoyle of Onondaga Hill, Dawn E. Wiest of Boulder, CO, Darlene A. (Michael) Carelli of Brewerton, Diane M. (Frank) Carioti of Vineland, NJ; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a niece, Mary Ellen (Dick) Olney; two nephews, Kenneth (Marcia) Chapman, Jeffrey (Pam) Klug; and a close family friend, Chick Roeschlaub.
Funeral services are Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the Reformed Church of Syracuse. Private burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
