George lived near me in East Syracuse. His home at the end of James Street was a small ranch on a large lot. He maintained both with great pride. George later divorced and his ex took the kids to Armpit, Texas. George sacrificed his promising police career of 7 years or so to be near his kids. The last I heard he was working as a carpenter in San Angelo. From what you can gather in an obituary, it looks as though George found a measure of happiness later in life. He was a good man and I hope it was so. - JW021
