Lew Felber

Lewis Nickolas Felber, 79, of Syracuse, New York, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013 peacefully at the home of his son in California. Lewis was born in Syracuse, New York and retired in 1999 after serving 32 years with pride on the Syracuse Police Department; giving back to the community he loved so much. He was a devoted husband and father, and loved to play golf. Lewis and his wife, Joan moved to California in 2007 to be with his son and daughter. He was predeceased by his mother, Josephine Malice Felber and father, Lewis Felber.

He is survived by his wife, Joan DeMascoli Felber; son, David Lewis Felber (Bonnie) of Hemet, CA; daughter, Lisa Rombi (Frank) of Huntington Beach, CA; sister, Joan Yafchak of Las Vegas, NV; one niece, Lynn Yafchak of Las Vegas, NV; two grandsons, Brian Felber of Los Angeles, CA and Trevor Felber of Baldwinsville, NY.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 8:30 a.m. at FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME and 9 a.m. St. John the Baptist Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 1 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse.
