Rocky Fallo

December 12, 2007 Ronald R. Fallo, 59, of Solvay, passed away Wednesday at Community General Hospital. Born February 2, 1948 in Syracuse to Rocco R. and Joanne (Piano) Fallo. He graduated from Solvay HS and attended Syracuse University. He was a drill instructor in the US Army Reserves. He married Edith Becksted in 1969.

He joined the Syracuse Police Dept. in 1970 and was a member until retiring as a sergeant in 1993, of which he often stated, he'd go back in a heartbeat. It was a job he truly enjoyed. After retirement, he joined Bristol Meyers Squibb security and worked there from 1993 to 2003. He was an umpire for the American Softball Association, and ran security for the Landmark Theatre. He could be found Sunday night's working SU security, and he also worked for the Syracuse Housing Authority.

In his early years, he enjoyed playing softball, bowling in leagues and racquetball. After retirement, he could be found at Cap's Cue Club with all his fellow pool buddies. He also joined their pool league and played on Thursday nights. He was a communicant of St. Cecilia's Church in Solvay. Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Edith; a son, Christopher; a daughter, Alison; his parents, Rocco, of Syracuse and Joanne, of Camillus; a sister, Nancy Fall, of Skaneateles, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted at 10:15 a.m. Saturday in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 11 a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 2601 Milton Ave.
