Herb Rodgers

Herbert "Bud" Rodgers, 79, of Fulton, died Friday after a brief illness. A native of Johnson City, he had resided in the Fulton-Volney area most of his life. Bud retired as a lieutenant with the Syracuse Police Department after 25 years. He previously worked for Litwak & Baker. Bud served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was predeceased by his first wife, Frances Ives Rodgers. Surviving are his beloved family: his wife, the former Dacie Chesbro of Fulton; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Jill Rodgers of Windham, NH; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Donna Rodgers of FL; sister, Dawn Rowlee of Fulton; stepchildren, Amy Schrader, Matthew Chesbro, April Carlson and Elizabeth Chesbro; several grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton, has charge of arrangements.
