Jimmy Rubino

December 12, 2015

James D. Rubino, 63, of Syracuse, passed away at his home on Saturday.

A life resident of Syracuse, he retired from Verizon after 25 years. Jimmy had a passion for golf, but the passion he had for his children outweighed anything and everything else. In addition, everyone Jimmy met quickly became his "buddy."

Survivors include his wife, Daryl (Zigrossi) Rubino; daughter, Sophia Rubino of Syracuse; son, Christian Rubino of Syracuse; mother-in-law, Chloe (Bill) Budenhagen of Batavia; brothers-in-law, Chip Zigrossi of Batavia and Brad Hilleges of Bridgeport; nephew, Andrew Zigrossi of Batavia.

Funeral services will be private. The family would like to extend an invitation to celebrate Jim's life on Sunday, December 20, 2 p.m. at Justin's Grill, 6400 Yorktown Circle, East Syracuse, NY, 13057. FARONE & SON Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.

The abovre photo was taken when Jimmy was carrying a confiscated marihuana plant into CID, smiling, happy, joking — the way we always want to remember him.
